Middleton Hall

  • Middleton Hall Tamworth, England, B78 2AE United Kingdom (map)

Middleton Hall is a stunning stately home with over 900 years of history — and it feels like it. From its medieval beginnings to Tudor expansions and Georgian additions, the building carries layers of time... and spirits to match.

Known for a strong sense of presence, guests often report hearing footsteps in empty corridors, voices echoing from locked rooms, and the sight of translucent figures roaming the upper floors. One of the most commonly sighted apparitions is that of a woman in period dress, often seen gazing from the windows or silently gliding through the Long Gallery.

The Great Hall, once the heart of the estate, has a reputation for sudden cold spots and whispered voices. Many believe that some of the former residents never truly left — including a former servant who’s said to be responsible for knocking items off shelves when investigations get too close to her old quarters.

Local folklore suggests that certain areas of the estate were used for hidden rituals, and some reports hint at a cursed family heirloom that may still be stored within the house.

Middleton Hall is quiet, atmospheric, and absolutely buzzing with residual energy — perfect for those who prefer their spirits refined… and a little unpredictable.
